Gustus is an Italian family business. We have been involved in agriculture and the restaurant business in Southern Italy for many generations and are now bringing our food and that of our partners to all over Europe.
Where we're from
CEO of Gustus, Angelo Maiuri’s family comes from the Campania region of southern Italy. This is the region where the world-famous cities of Amalfi and Naples are located. It is also the agricultural heart of Italy.
How it all started
Our family started producing food in 1865 when Don Efisio, a marshal in the army of the Kingdom of Savoy, roamed southern Italy, fighting bandits and laying the foundations of modern Italy.
During his wanderings, he developed a passion for agriculture and food production. When Don Efisio married the largest landowner in the Cilento National Park, they created a successful business that continues to this day and is today called Gustus.
