Description
This aromatic herb should not only be remembered for cooking; it also has many therapeutic properties. In addition to vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and proteins, oregano contains two important active ingredients: the phenols thymol and hair crool.
The list of its therapeutic properties is quite long, but the main properties are analgesic, antiseptic, expectorant and tonic. In addition, oregano essential oil is often used in aromatherapy. Infusion of oregano plants is also recommended, especially for the treatment of migraine headaches, digestive disorders and inflammations.
Oregano is also a good repellent against ants: sprinkle it on troublesome places and remember to replace it often to keep them away.
