Borlotti is a plant with yellowish-reddish chestnut pods and seeds that are creamy white when raw, with dark brown spots. When cooked, they turn dark and the inside takes on a floury texture. These beans are ideal for soups and salads as they are already cooked and very convenient to use. They are a natural source of fibre.
