Our strong organic coffee is a blend of arabica and robusta and is characterised by a stronger flavour and more body. The latter is a very hardy variety, adapting well to hot-humid climates, withstanding thermal shocks and parasite attacks: hence the name “Robusta”.
Planting in the shade of other crops or woody plants helps to reduce water evaporation, soil erosion and protects the plantation from the sun, as well as being important in protecting biodiversity and shielding the farmer from the sun’s rays. harvesting days.
Harvesting of ripe fruit (the so-called ‘cherry’) takes place during the drier and less rainy periods of the year.
